About the Role

At Base, we believe video is one of the most powerful ways to explain who we are and what we do. Our product lives in the homes of real people, and video allows us to capture those moments, tell their stories, and make the complex world of energy feel human and relatable. From quick social clips to thoughtful brand films, video is how we bring Base to life and connect with our community.

We’re looking for a creative and motivated videographer to join our team. This role will help us capture and share stories through high-quality video projects, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and a polished, professional look. The right candidate will have a portfolio of video work that shows creativity, narrative thinking, and technical skill. Bonus if you can also shoot high-quality still photography.

What You'll Do

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit video content that highlights Base members, products, and team.

  • Capture high-quality footage in a variety of settings from sit-down interviews to dynamic, in-the-moment shoots.

  • Translate briefs into engaging, narrative-driven content that feels authentic and aligned with the Base brand.

  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other team members to develop ideas and bring stories to life.

  • Edit content using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve).

  • Adapt videos for different platforms and formats (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).

  • Apply color correction, audio cleanup, and basic motion graphics to deliver polished work.

  • Stay curious about new tools, social trends, and creative formats that could inspire Base’s content.

  • Shoot high-quality stills for campaigns, events, and social media.

  • Provide photography that complements and extends Base’s video storytelling.

What You'll Bring

  • A portfolio that shows creative video work and storytelling whether from school, personal projects, or freelance.

  • Ability to shoot high-quality video projects using DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile cameras.

  • Working knowledge of editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, or similar).

  • Interest in telling human-centered stories, especially around people, technology, and community.

  • Bonus: skills in still photography, with an eye for capturing authentic, brand-aligned moments.

  • Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and collaborate with a cross-functional team.
