About Base
Base is building the foundation of American power. The grid is the largest, most complex machine in the world. Yet it’s aging, struggling to keep up with today’s demand, and is unprepared for our electrified future.
Base is modernizing the grid as the first engineering-led, technology-driven power company. We’re deploying a nationwide network of distributed batteries that strengthens critical infrastructure and saves Americans money.
Our team of engineers, operators, creatives, technicians, and electricians design and deploy systems at speed. If you want to tackle the problem that will define this century and shape the future of American energy, now is the time. Join us.
About the Role
At Base Power, we are building America’s power company. Our founders need a full‑stack Executive Assistant who can spin lots of plates without breaking a sweat. You’ll be the primary force field shielding their time and focus, combining administrative leverage with strategic support. Think of yourself as the lab assistant who calibrates the experiment: making sure schedules align, meetings are productive and data flows smoothly. You’ll work across the organisation, collaborating with leaders on Deployments, Growth, Software and Hardware to keep the CEO and COO performing at peak efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Own and refine both executives’ calendars, managing meetings and appointments.
- Coordinate travel, ensuring flights, accommodations and itineraries optimise productivity
- Handle sensitive correspondence and communications (emails, calls, visitors) on behalf of the CEO and COO; prioritise urgent matters and draft responses that align with their voice
- Prepare reports, presentations and other materials to support strategic decisions and meeting efficiency
- Work directly with individuals on the team to elevate meetings with prepared documents and agendas
- Provide hands‑on assistance with special projects and research tasks as needed
- Manage logistics for board meetings, off‑sites, and special events
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar high‑level admin role senior leaders or founders in a scale-up environment
- Strong attention to detail - like a scientist logging observations, you notice every variable and follow up on details.
- You’re a clear and concise communicator - whether drafting emails, prepping agendas or liaising with other leaders, consistent and capable of representing the CEO/COO professionally
- Proficiency with technology and software and comfortable working with dashboards and productivity tools
- High trust and integrity - you treat confidential information with the care and keep private matters private
- Prior operating experience in a fast‑paced environment, you anticipate needs, pivot quickly and keep operations running smoothly even when variables change.
- You approach interactions with a helpful, solution‑oriented attitude, making life easier for our leaders and partners
Our Values
We’re building a winning culture and we’re looking for people who are up for the challenge. Here’s what we expect from day one:
- In-Person Only: We work full-time in the office. No hybrid. No remote.
- Challenge the Status Quo: Question assumptions. Fix broken systems. Principles > rules.
- Move Fast: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.
- Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble. Challenge ideas–including your own.
- Own the Outcome: Take full responsibility. Deliver results. No excuses.
- Act Like an Owner: Be resourceful, mindful of impact, and committed to the business.
- Be Decisive: Drive clarity. Make bold calls with imperfect info.
- Bring the Intensity: This is not a 9-to-5. We're building something hard which requires real commitment.
