About Base

Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.

About the Role

As the Production Control Manager, you will serve as the architect of Base’s manufacturing warehouse strategy. This is a high-impact role responsible for designing and scaling a world-class warehouse management organization. You will not just manage shipments; you will own the end-to-end strategic roadmap for material flow, plan and execute new storage strategies, and optimize the flow of material within Base’s manufacturing factories.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the hourly workforce team to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations.

  • Own the dock-to-stock material handling process, ensuring rapid receipt, inspection, and put-away of inbound components to minimize dwell time and support production schedules.

  • Design and execute lineside material delivery strategies for manufacturing lines to ensure zero downtime due to material shortages.

  • Lead physical inventory efforts in the factory, coordinating cross-functional teams to execute wall-to-wall counts with speed and precision.

  • Own the inventory accuracy program, including executing weekly or monthly cycle counting and performing deep-dive root cause analysis on sources of error to implement corrective actions.

  • Project management of Warehouse Management System (WMS) improvements, collaborating with engineering and data teams to digitize workflows, improve traceability, and eliminate manual data entry.

  • Collaborate with Factory Design to size warehousing in future factories and develop automated material movement strategies

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or production logistics, specifically within a high-growth manufacturing or hardware environment.

  • Proven track record of managing and developing hourly teams, with a focus on safety culture and operational excellence.

  • Deep expertise in inventory control best practices, including physical inventory execution, cycle counting methodologies, and root cause analysis.

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP environments, with the ability to drive system improvements and feature implementations.

  • Strong data analysis skills to monitor inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and material flow metrics.

About this Team

The Production Control team ensures that material is accurately managed through the system. From incoming receiving to preparing goods for our Deployment organization, and everywhere in between, this team supports the development of world-class materials systems. This team will also work with the Factory Design and technology development teams to create a roadmap for material movement within Base’s factories.

Our Values

  • First Principles Thinking: Question assumptions. Principles > rules.

  • Operate at Base Pace: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.

  • Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble, and maintain a growth mindset.

  • Everyone’s an Owner: Follow through on commitments and own results.

  • Strong Opinions, Loosely Held: Drive clarity and make calls with imperfect information.

  • Committed to the Mission: Rebuilding the grid is a big challenge. We work hard because we care deeply about the impact we’re creating. We work in-person. It’s not a 9-to-5. We are all-in.

  • Fun & Optimism Coexist with Grit: Collaboration and celebration coincide with the intensity of building real things.

Do the best work of your life at Base.
