Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Contractor to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain IT systems for BasiGo Limited.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with hardware/software support, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals) and software OS and applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues network connectivity, system errors, login problems, etc.) in-person.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and business applications.
- Assist with user account management (Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace).
- Support network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls, CCTV, biometric access controls) and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Perform system updates and patches to ensure security and performance.
- Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and provide user training when necessary.
- Collaborate with IT teams or vendors for escalated technical problems.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in IT support, helpdesk, or similar roles.
Technical Qualifications
- Proficiency in Windows/macOS/Linux troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud services
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with remote support tools ( AnyDesk, RDP).
- Knowledge with CCTV and biometric access control
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred certifications : CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), ITIL, etc.
- Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Availability : 2 hours daily for 5 days
