Role Overview
Position: Android Developer
Location: Bengaluru
What You’ll Own:
-Own and deliver Android app features end-to-end with minimal supervision.
-Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to scope and build clean, scalable solutions.
-Write maintainable, testable, and performant code in Kotlin.
-Participate in sprint discussions and raise blockers or suggestions early.
-Review PRs for both Android and iOS, debug production issues, and help maintain code quality.
-Adhere to Git workflow, naming conventions, and Android best practices.
-Monitor and improve app performance, memory footprint, and crash reports (Firebase, Play Console).
-Take initiative in suggesting and building small improvements that enhance UX or engineering efficiency.
What You Bring
-1–3 years of hands-on Android development experience using Kotlin.
-Strong knowledge of Android SDK, activity/fragment lifecycles, view models, and modern architectural patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture).
-Proficient in working with REST APIs, Retrofit, and JSON data handling.
-Experience with Jetpack libraries, Room DB, and third-party SDKs.
-Good understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD basics, and build systems like Gradle.
-Able to take ownership of tasks, understand requirements, and deliver independently.
-Experience working in a team setup using tools like JIRA, Figma, Confluence, Slack, etc.
-Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
-Experience with Navigation Component, Firebase tools.
-Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
-Exposure to analytics integration and A/B experiments.
