Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role

Join Crusoe as an Engineering Technician, serving as the critical technical link between Design Engineering and Production/Procurement within our growing Engineering Services department. You manage the how: ensuring that engineering intent is accurately translated into actionable manufacturing data within our ERP system.

This role requires a seasoned understanding of BOM logic, product configuration, and manufacturing workflows. You will be a hands-on technical contributor who keeps production moving by resolving data discrepancies before they become operational problems, and by building BOM structures that reflect how products get built. Your exposure to the full product lifecycle—from design release through shop floor execution—makes this a high-impact position at the center of everything we make.

What You'll Be Working On

  • BOM Architecture & Optimization: Translate complex engineering designs into structured, multi-level Bills of Materials in ERP. Build BOM hierarchies that account for shop floor assembly sequences, ensuring that the digital structure mirrors real-world manufacturing logic.
  • ERP Technical Management: Own the technical integrity of key data domains within the ERP system, including item masters, routing logic, and material effectivity dates. You are the subject matter expert others turn to when the system doesn't behave as expected.
  • Engineering Change Order (ECO) Tracking: Review and implement engineering changes with a full view of downstream impact—assessing effects on current inventory, open purchase orders, and work-in-progress before changes go live. Coordinate with Procurement and Production to sequence transitions cleanly.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as the first line of defense for Production and Procurement when data discrepancies arise. Investigate and resolve issues with urgency and precision.
  • Production Liaison: Support the shop floor by verifying that digital manufacturing data matches physical assembly requirements. Capture and relay manufacturability feedback from the floor to Design Engineering, closing the loop between design intent and production reality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering team to identify bottlenecks in the data flow between Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain. Collaborate on process improvement initiatives—translating shop floor and procurement pain points into structured workflow changes—and help implement solutions that accelerate the transition from design release to production-ready data.

What You'll Bring To The Team

  • Education & Experience: An Associate's degree in a technical field, or 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with a focus on ERP data management, BOM administration, or manufacturing engineering support.
  • Technical Literacy: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and/or electrical schematics—and to translate that information into accurate ERP data structures.
  • ERP Mastery: Advanced proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Epicor), particularly within Inventory and Engineering modules. You know the system well enough to understand not just how to enter data, but why the structure matters.
  • Systems Thinking: A strong grasp of how a single change in a BOM propagates through procurement, scheduling, and production. You anticipate second-order effects before they become problems.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional accuracy when managing complex datasets, with a clear understanding that a single data error can result in meaningful procurement waste or production downtime.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality—and for translating technical findings into actionable information for non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience managing multi-level BOMs in a configured or make-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on involvement in an ERP or PLM system implementation or migration.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing concepts such as routings, work centers, or MRP logic.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior data entry or document control staff.

Benefits

  • Industry competitive pay
