Power Infrastructure
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About the Role:
Crusoe is building large-scale, mission-critical AI data centers across the U.S., delivering the infrastructure that powers the next generation of AI and high-performance computing. As we expand into new markets and larger campuses, we are looking for a Director, Site Construction to lead complex, multi-phase projects from structural build-out through full interior fit-out and operational readiness.
In this role, you will serve as a key leader driving the safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery of hyperscale facilities. You’ll oversee broad scopes across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and interior tenant-improvement (TI) systems—managing multiple contractors, tight timelines, and high technical complexity. This is a high-impact role for seasoned construction professionals who excel in leadership, coordination, and execution at scale.
What You'll Be Working On:
Full-Cycle Project Leadership: Lead construction across civil, structural, envelope, MEP, and interior/TI phases for hyperscale campuses.
Campus Management: Oversee multiple scopes or buildings simultaneously, ensuring alignment across the entire site.
Operational Readiness: Direct the build-out of data halls, MV/LV electrical rooms, mechanical rooms, office spaces, and high-end finishes.
Strategic Oversight: Own project schedules, critical-path plans, budgets, forecasting, and procurement strategies.
Contract & Vendor Management: Lead contract negotiations, manage diverse vendor relationships, and maintain strict change order control.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with design, engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to ensure a seamless transition from build to "live" status.
Executive Reporting: Provide high-level reporting on project progress, risks, and costs to senior leadership.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure absolute compliance with building codes, inspections, permitting, and Crusoe’s rigorous safety standards.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture; or a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Industry Tenure: 7+ years of experience managing large industrial, data center, or complex commercial projects (base build and TI).
Technical Depth: Deep understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems specific to mission-critical environments.
Project Management Tools: Advanced proficiency in Procore, Primavera/MS Project, and Bluebeam.
Leadership & Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate across cross-functional technical teams.
Mobility: This role requires significant travel (approximately 80%) with the expectation of being physically present onsite for the majority of the construction lifecycle.
Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
Bonus Points
Direct experience with hyperscale data center or mission-critical facility builds.
Proven track record leading $100M+ project scopes.
