About This Role:
Join Crusoe Energy as a Production Manager and drive the hands-on management, development, and strategic oversight of our production operations. In this role, you will lead the transition of custom customer projects into a high-performing, world-class Lean Manufacturing environment. You will be directly responsible for ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and production efficiency metrics consistently exceed both customer and business expectations. We are manufacturing mission-critical components for modular AI data centers as well as utility-scale power distribution centers.
This is a high-impact leadership position that will help drive and innovate the future of AI Edge capabilities within Crusoe Industries. You will lead, mentor, and inspire a growing team of 6 production leads and 120 skilled technicians in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. What You’ll Be Working On:
Overall Project & Performance Management: Provide comprehensive management for assigned projects, executing and achieving critical performance metrics across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
Lean Manufacturing Application: Drive the rigorous application of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement concepts to achieve measurable, scalable, and sustainable operational improvements.
Strategic Planning & Scheduling: Develop and execute project strategies, master production schedules, and detailed resource plans that align directly with estimated production bid hours.
Team Mentorship & Growth: Lead, mentor, and grow production team members to foster a highly accountable, collaborative, and engaged workforce.
Operational Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and regularly report on key operational inputs and KPIs to manufacturing and executive leadership.
Talent Development & Retention: Directly oversee assigned manufacturing personnel, ensuring clear alignment, ongoing skill development, active engagement, and strong talent retention.
Culture of Excellence: Promote a robust shop-floor culture of safety, personal accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence aligned with Crusoe Mission Critical values.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project Management to drive alignment and ensure seamless project execution.
Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain collaborative, positive relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and vendors to turn them into long-term strategic partners.
End-to-End Accountability: Act as the single point of accountability for all aspects of assigned projects, including processes, procedures, tooling, and execution strategies.
Executive Coordination: Partner directly with the Director of Manufacturing to provide strategic and tactical input on manufacturing capabilities and plant support requirements.
Pre-Production Estimating & Risk: Participate actively in project production hour estimating, design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews, and risk assessments for upcoming project pursuits.
Process & Hazard Analysis: Develop and implement safe manufacturing processes, including formal hazard analyses, safety procedures, and technician skill assessments.
Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and is located within a safety-sensitive facility. Active drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred (equivalent professional experience will be fully considered).
Professional Experience: 10+ years of progressive manufacturing management operations experience, with at least 5+ years of experience in a direct supervisory or leadership role.
Lean Manufacturing Expertise: 2+ years of direct, hands-on Lean Manufacturing experience with a deep understanding of continuous improvement tools.
Proven Leadership Competencies: Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
Time & Execution Management: Excellent time management skills with a proven capability to operate with a strong sense of urgency. Results-oriented, strategic, and tactical with outstanding execution capabilities.
Operational Style: A hands-on, decisive, and visible operational leadership style.
Morale & Metrics Stewardship: Demonstrated success managing production floor morale and tracking key operational metrics.
Talent Development Focus: Deep passion for mentoring team members and driving process excellence.
Software & Tool Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and related tools.
Bonus Points:
Active Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Direct experience manufacturing Modular Data Center (MDC) or Power Distribution Center (PDC) equipment.
Familiarity with complex electrical and mechanical designs and schematics.
Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (specifically Infor Visual or Acumatica).
Advanced computer literacy in both MS Office and Google Workspace suites.
Hands-on experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 quality standard framework.
Prior industrial metal manufacturing and structural fabrication experience.
Strong electro-mechanical integration and troubleshooting background.

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $100,000 -$115,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
