About The Role
Fourier Earth Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineering Lab Technician to join our growing team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our engineering team by maintaining and operating our electrical engineering lab, assisting with prototype development, and conducting experiments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical principles, hands-on experience with lab equipment, and a strong work ethic.

About The Role
Fourier Earth Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineering Lab Technician to join our growing team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our engineering team by maintaining and operating our electrical engineering lab, assisting with prototype development, and conducting experiments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical principles, hands-on experience with lab equipment, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize the electrical engineering lab, including equipment calibration, repair, and inventory management.
- Assist engineers with the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype circuits and systems.
- Assemble and solder electronic components onto PCBs and other hardware.
- Conduct experiments and collect data using various Low/High voltage test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, Load Banks and power supplies.
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits and identify component failures.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to experiments, test results, and lab procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure project success.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with ordering and receiving Electronic components, lab supplies and equipment.
- Assist with wiring Electrical Equipment, Electronics and Sensors within assigned Electronic Enclosures.
- Assist with building prototypes from Electrical schematics/Drawing.
- Ability to perform prototype testing per written specification or verbal instruction
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Proven experience working in an electrical engineering lab environment.
- Basic understanding of basic electrical principles (Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Laws, time constants of RC & RL circuits, etc.).
- Proficiency in using common lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies, etc.).
- Experience with Thru-hole and SMD soldering (minimum pitch 0.5 mm) and PCB assembly .
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design software (e.g., Altium, Eagle) is a plus.
- Experience building mechanical and/or electrical lab spaces.
