About Jetson:

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100M homes across North America away from burning fossil fuels to sustainable energy use. Here at Jetson, we believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however, adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won’t move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company. Jetson will make it simple, transparent and affordable for everyone to get a heat pump.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an extremely motivated and passionate strategic operations leader interested in being part of a new, exciting organization fighting climate change by disrupting the residential HVAC industry.

The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of our residential home HVAC electrification business across Canada and the United States. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive efficiency, enhance service quality, and implement scalable processes to support growth. The VP of Operations will determine the organizational structure of regional managers, service teams, and others who will ensure exceptional service delivery and financial performance.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize service delivery across multiple locations in Canada and the U.S.
  • Lead the expansion strategy, scaling the organization from two locations to multiple operations while ensuring operational consistency and service excellence.
  • Oversee site selection, resource allocation, and infrastructure development to support new market entries.
  • Establish and refine operational processes to ensure a seamless transition during expansion phases.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Lead and mentor regional and local operational teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive cost efficiency initiatives, including parts utilization, workforce optimization, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute growth strategies, including expansion into new markets.
  • Implement technology-driven solutions to enhance scheduling, workforce management, and customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements in both Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to support revenue growth through exceptional service delivery and customer retention strategies.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-unit operations management, preferably within the residential home services, construction, or related industry.
  • Experience in taking an operation from startup to scale up in geographically dispersed locations.
  • Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams across the United States and Canada.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and cost-control measures.
  • Expertise in operational process improvement, workforce optimization, and service quality enhancement.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions to drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the U.S. and Canada as needed.
  • Experience working with technology-driven solutions for scheduling, dispatch, and customer service.
