The role
You’ll work directly alongside the founders and early team to build the operational infrastructure that powers Light’s partner business.
Your mission: lead the growth initiatives that our partners succeed — from surfacing performance insights that unlock new opportunities, to building the systems and playbooks that make partner growth repeatable and scalable.
What you'll own
Partner growth operations. You'll triage the highest-leverage opportunities across our partner portfolio and run the sprints — experiments, deep-dive analyses, strategic recommendations — that move enrollment and revenue. You won't just advise; you'll execute.
Scalable systems and playbooks. Right now, our best partner wins are one-offs. Your job is to make them repeatable — from onboarding workflows to renewal strategies to enrollment optimization. You'll partner closely with GTM, Product, and Engineering to make the full partner lifecycle run end to end.
Performance infrastructure. You'll design the metrics, dashboards, and reporting that give the team real-time visibility into partner health — leading indicators, not lagging ones. When something's off, you'll be the first to know and the first to act.
In six months, success looks like: Light has a clear, data-backed view of partner performance across the portfolio, a repeatable growth playbook that's been tested on at least two partners, and a set of operational systems that the team trusts and actually uses.
You would describe yourself as:
4+ years in operations, strategy & ops, consulting, chief of staff, or a similar high-ownership role — ideally at a high-growth startup or in a setting where you built systems rather than inherited them.
Execution bias. You close loops. Your instinct is to turn analysis into systems and processes, not decks.
Strong analytical chops. You can build models and dashboards from messy data, and you know which metrics actually move a business versus which ones just look good in a slide.
Cross-functional fluency. You earn trust quickly, translate between technical and non-technical teams, and ship work without formal authority.
Based in Austin, TX. This role is in-person with the core team.
