Senior Associate, Structured Finance (Remote)
Odyssey
About Odyssey
Odyssey Energy Solutions is a credit and technology platform transforming distributed energy globally. Our mission is to radically accelerate investment in distributed energy in growth markets, from Africa to India and Latin America. We have enormous traction (US$2.5bn capital on the platform), a collaborative, motivated, and mission-driven team, and top investors backing us. Union Square Ventures and Equal Ventures led our Series A (May 2023) and Series A-2 (Dec 2024).
Odyssey has achieved significant demand for its 6-12 month supply chain credit product to solar installers across Sub-Saharan Africa, India, Brazil, and Mexico. To scale the business, we set up and manage thematic AssetCos and structure multi-draw term loans, revolving credit facilities, and mezzanine finance from mission-aligned DFIs and impact credit funds to allow us to recycle capital multiple times from a single capital injection, thus maximizing impact. Since starting the supply chain credit business, Odyssey has grossed $54 million in equipment credit, and we are aiming to raise at least $85 million across multiple thematic SPV/AssetCos in 2025. We intend to raise multiples of that figure in coming years as we expand in-market and to new geographies.
