Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems for our sustainable rare earth metals production processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to innovative clean technology solutions.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to assist in electrical design, troubleshooting, and the optimization of industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control, and safety systems.
- Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Design and size equipment or components for electrical system
- Support the integration and installation of electrical components, such as power supplies, control panels, complex instrumentation and sensors.
- Perform diagnostics and basic troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to electrical systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process and controls engineers, to support the integration of electrical systems into production workflows.
- Provide support for ongoing engineering projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to specification.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical designs, testing procedures, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical reports and provide updates to senior engineers and project managers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Basic knowledge of power distribution systems, motor controls, and electrical safety practices.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for electrical schematics and design documentation.
- Experience with electrical testing tools, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, is a plus.s
- Exposure to automation and control systems, such as PLCs or SCADA platforms, is a plus.
- Familiarity with high-temperature or chemical process environments is beneficial but not required.
