The Role
We are seeking a passionate and seasoned Senior Manager to lead our Web and Mobile Engineering teams. In this position, you will guide the design, development, and maintenance of multiple web and mobile applications (iOS and Android). You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as Product, Design, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment with company goals, drive innovation, and deliver high-quality products on time.
Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management
Mentor and coach Web (React/TypeScript) and Mobile (iOS/Android) engineers, cultivating an environment of collaboration and professional growth
Set clear performance goals, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct regular performance reviews
Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent

Project & Stakeholder Management
Partner with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define and execute on strategic product roadmaps
Oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent web and mobile projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership regarding project progress, risks, and roadblocks

Technical Oversight
Provide guidance on best practices for React, React Native, TypeScript, and other modern technologies
Evaluate and implement new tools or technologies to improve development speed, product quality, and maintainability
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other teams to ensure optimal architecture, scalability, and performance

Process Improvement
Implement agile methodologies, code review practices, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) strategies
Foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging experimentation and innovation across teams
About You
Required Qualifications
-
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management role

Technical Expertise
Hands-on experience with modern web technologies (React, TypeScript, etc.)
Solid understanding of mobile app development (iOS and Android); familiarity with React Native is highly preferred
Knowledge of CI/CD processes, version control (Git), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Leadership & Communication
Demonstrated success in managing and scaling engineering teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders

Agile Methodologies & Best Practices
Proven track record in agile/scrum environments
Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and automation
Bonus Qualifications

Additional Technical Skills
Experience with backend services, microservices architecture, gRPC APIs, and/or GraphQL
Exposure to kubernetes and container based platforms and CI/CD patterns

Industry Exposure
Experience in fast-paced startup environments or rapidly scaling organizations
Familiarity with hardware based startups and development + factory lifecycle

Soft Skills
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting business and technical priorities
Proven track record of driving innovation, proactively identifying areas of improvement, and implementing solutions
