1. About the Company
TerraWise is building autonomous ground robotics and AI to power the next generation of utility-scale solar operations. As solar deployments scale rapidly, maintaining vast, remote infrastructure has become a critical challenge. Today’s O&M teams rely on labor-intensive inspections and fragmented data to keep sites running. TerraWise changes that by deploying rugged autonomous rovers paired with a real-time intelligence platform that continuously monitors assets, detects issues early, and delivers actionable insights. Our mission is to augment field teams; improving uptime, safety, and efficiency while reducing operational costs.
We’re a venture-backed, Seed-stage deep-tech startup at the intersection of robotics, AI, and clean energy, building systems designed to operate in harsh real-world environments, solving real problems for a positive impact. If you want to work on technology that directly accelerates the world’s transition to renewable energy, we’d love to talk.
2. About the Role
What you'll do:
- Own product delivery for TerraWise's customer platform (frontend, backend, data APIs, auth, observability).
- Lead & mentor our front-end/back-end team; set coding standards, reviews, and sprints.
- Stand up ML infra (model registry, feature store, inference services, batch jobs, metrics).
- Drive platform reliability: logging, tracing, and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with robotics, autonomy, and CV to close the loop from field robots -> analytics -> actionable insights.
Requirements:
- 3–5+ yrs as a strong IC
- Backend: FastAPI/Django/Node, REST/GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, object storage, queues.
- DevOps: Docker, CI/CD, AWS.
- Fluency in Python and one modern TypeScript web stack (React + Next.js).
- Fast, iterative product development: ability to hack, ship, and refine quickly with strong product intuition.
Bonus skills:
- 1–3 yrs tech lead/manager.
- Robotics: ROS, C++
- ML/MLOps: PyTorch, model packaging, batch/stream processing, inference, experiment tracking.
- Map/GIS, WebGL, Computer Vision pipelines
Stack: Python, NodeJS, C++, AWS/GCP, FastAPI, MongoDB, Docker, ROS, CI/CD, PyTorch, MLOps, Computer Vision, GIS.
