About the role:

The Nuclear Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planner to contribute to the robust planning and scheduling efforts for our critical nuclear projects. This role, reporting to the Manager, Planning & Scheduling within the Project Controls team, is vital for ensuring projects are meticulously planned, accurately scheduled, and effectively tracked from inception through completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Development: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for various phases, including regulatory, engineering, procurement, fabrication, modularization, construction, commissioning, testing, and start-up activities.
  • Data Credibility: Ensure the credibility and accuracy of information within schedules and supporting documentation through thorough reviews and audits.
  • Baseline Management: Support the baselining and re-baselining of schedules according to company guidelines, identifying and assisting in resolving any deviations.
  • Progress Tracking & Reporting: Assist in tracking project progress, validating claimed progress by contractors, and contributing to regular progress reports for management.
  • Integration Support: Ensure schedules are integrated with other Project Controls functions, including estimating, change management, cost control, and risk management.
  • Forecasting & Analysis: Support the development of accurate forecasts and participate in schedule risk reviews.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Assist project teams in conducting impact assessments for proposed changes to baseline schedules.
  • Dispute Resolution Support: Provide support for forensic schedule analysis to assist in contract claims or dispute resolution.
  • Lessons Learned: Contribute to the capture of project as-built schedule data and lessons learned for future projects.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in planning and scheduling within heavy industrial, energy infrastructure, or EPC environments.
  • Experience on Nuclear projects is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 for schedule development, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams and contractors.
  • Ability to interpret complex project scopes, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

The estimated starting salary range for this role is $121,000 - $143,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
