About the role

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of The Nuclear Company’s centralized Global Security Operations Center. This individual will play a critical role in building and maintaining a world-class security monitoring and response capability that safeguards The Nuclear Company’s people, assets, and operations worldwide. Reporting directly to the Director of Technical Security, the GSOC Manager will be responsible for designing operational frameworks, establishing standard operating procedures, and coordinating cross-functional efforts between Corporate Security, Information Technology (IT), and other business units to ensure cohesive, efficient, and resilient security operations.

Responsibilities

  • GSOC Development & Management
    • Design, build, and operationalize a Global Security Operations Center from the ground up, including staffing models, workflows, and technology integration.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), escalation paths, and 24/7 monitoring capabilities.
    • Ensure the GSOC operates as the central hub for global incident detection, response, and communication.
  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee day-to-day GSOC operations, ensuring continuous situational awareness and proactive risk mitigation.
    • Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for physical and technical security monitoring, global intelligence, and incident response coordination.
    • Provide real-time leadership during global crises, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective response.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with IT, Cybersecurity, Facilities, HR, and other departments to integrate technologies and streamline incident management processes.
    • Develop shared operational frameworks to eliminate duplication, enhance situational awareness, and drive organizational efficiency.
    • Support alignment between physical and information security initiatives across The Nuclear Company’s global footprint.
  • Technology & Intelligence Integration
    • Identify and deploy GSOC technologies, including video management, access control, threat intelligence, and alerting platforms.
    • Leverage intelligence feeds and analytics to detect emerging threats and provide actionable insights to leadership.
    • Maintain a continuous improvement program for GSOC systems, procedures, and personnel training.
  • Compliance, Reporting & Metrics
    • Establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms for operational readiness and incident response.
    • Ensure compliance with global security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
    • Produce executive-level briefings and after-action reports on significant events and trends.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Technology, Emergency Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of progressive experience in security operations, emergency management, or intelligence analysis.
    • 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing GSOC, command center, or similar 24/7 operations environments.
    • Proven experience establishing or transforming GSOC functions at a global scale.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of security monitoring technologies, access control systems, and incident management software.
    • Familiarity with IT network infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and systems integration.
    • Ability to interpret and operationalize intelligence and risk assessments.
  • Leadership & Communication:
    • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Experience working cross-functionally in global, complex environments.

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $118,000 - $140,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
