David Energy is creating a new kind of power company. Traditional Retail Electricity Providers (REPs) are outdated, opaque, and painful for customers to engage with. We use software to monitor our customers' real-time energy usage, and we aggregate and analyze that data to maximize the value they get from their energy assets – batteries, EVs, HVAC systems and other distributed energy resources (DERs) via participation in energy markets. Our mission is to run the grid on clean energy 24/7.
About the role
David Energy is seeking an experienced B2B Marketing Lead to join our growing Marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role involves envisioning and executing a comprehensive growth marketing strategy aimed at acquiring franchisees and multi-unit operators. You will begin as a strategist and individual contributor with the potential to grow your team in the future and support from outside contractors/agencies in the meantime.
Success in this role will be measured by increased awareness and understanding of our energy spend management platform, a rise in inbound leads, and faster sales cycles. The ideal candidate is a generalist with experience in sales enablement, demand generation, and ABM. This person should also be strategic, business-minded, creative, and nimble. Big plus if you thrive in the fast-paced, always-changing environment of a Series A start-up.
Key responsibilities
Demand Generation: Continue testing and developing our current strategy to scale our top-of-funnel efforts, increase B2B qualified leads, and support our sales-driven go-to-market motion.
Strategy Development: Build an integrated strategy across content marketing, organic and paid social, trade publication partnerships, events, Google Ads, and sales enablement.
Brand and Content: Partner with our Brand and Content Lead and Senior Product Manager to refine the B2B brand, messaging, and positioning in the franchise market.
Sales Enablement: Support the Sales and Business Development teams by creating sales collateral and enablement materials (with support from our Brand and Content team).
ABM: Develop and launch an ABM strategy targeted at strategic franchise brands in partnership with Sales and Business Development.
Events: Drive the strategy and execution of trade shows, conferences, and networking events in partnership with our Event Marketing Manager.
Budget and Reporting: Work with the Head of Marketing to manage the budget forecast and reporting on all B2B marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
Track record of building the B2B marketing or growth function at an early-stage startup.
Prefers the pace, uncertainty, and excitement of scaling an early-stage start-up.
5+ years experience in B2B marketing strategy and execution.
Experience with a wide range of B2B marketing tactics, including but not limited to content marketing, demand generation, ABM, social media, referral programs, and more.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate program + campaign effectiveness, including selecting + building out relevant tracking infrastructure (e.g. Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc) as well as building and reporting on metrics
Major plus: You have experience marketing to franchisees, multi-unit operators, and/or food & beverage and fitness business owners.

Base salary of $140,000-$170,000 plus equity
